Friends of Philomont
Community Center

Purpose

Friends of Philomont Community Center (FPCC) is a non-profit organization of volunteers that supports programs, facilities, and staff at PCC through fundraising and advocacy. FPCC serves the broader Philomont community by hosting events and enhancing free resources at the center. Founded in 1989 as the Philomont Community Center Advisory Board.

Building History

The building was constructed in 1907 to serve as the Philomont School. The large upper room was used for special events, town meetings, and plays. From 1945 to 1961, the building housed religious services for the Church of the Seventh Day Adventist. It was used as a private residence until Loudoun County purchased it in 1987 to be operated as the Philomont Community Center by Loudoun County Department of Parks and Recreation.
